” Wait for no-one. Don’t let others tell you what you can do. Do everything on your own in your own way, and then tell others ‘this is what I can do mother fuckers”.
Don’t Wait: Create.
There are little things in life that are within our complete control. One of the things we can control is our ability to create. Instead of waiting around for this or that to happen (insert activity, job prospect or event of your preference); or for situation A to become Situation B or C or D, make things happen for yourself by taking action. Focus on expressing your creativity in whatever way that works best for you in the meantime.
- Do whatever it is that comes easily and effortlessly to you which is a means of self expression.
- Do whatever it is that you can do RIGHT NOW that requires no external approval, acceptance or permission.
- Take action wherever you can at every given moment.
- Don’t think, just DO.
….If you are waiting to hear back about a job interview you attended earlier in the week, don’t just sit around twiddling your thumbs waiting for a call back and put your whole life on hold-do something else! Make the most your time and that brilliant and untapped creative mind of yours!
….If it is money that you tell yourself you need before you can achieve something you have your heart set on doing, create something else in the interim! That very creative action you take whilst ‘waiting’, may actually be the thing that brings you what you were truly needing in the first place.
Waiting makes you feel powerless because you have no control over the outcome and have no idea of how or when you will receive a result. You are voluntarily placing your life in the hands of someone or something else. (Yuck.) Creativity channels your energy into a powerful source which allows you to perform amazing tasks and achieve great things.
What areas of your life do you feel powerless in? Explore how you can reclaim your strength by taking action and doing something creative and productive RIGHT NOW.
